The Puma Schuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler company was founded in 1948 – and introduced it’s first football shoe, the Puma Atom, that same year. Dassler’s shoes were already developing a strong association with success in sport – during the 1936 Olympics, Dassler shoes were worn by the German football team, as well as by American track legend Jesse Owens. As the early years of the Puma name progressed, Rudolf Dassler developed a variety of football boots, working in conjunction with experts in the sport.
Today, Puma provides a variety of shoes for professional athletes in sports ranging from football to marathon running, as well as a fine selection of trainers for ordinary men, women and children. Popular Puma shoes for kids include the Baylee Junior, the Jago, the Ryu and the Future Cat. Each of these Puma styles is available in colours to suit boys or girls – and some of the shoes are available in tiny sizes to suit infants as well as younger children.
Popular Puma shoes for men include the Bukai, Riviera, Inflexion and the Drift Cat Leather. There are a variety of colours and materials for each style, making the shoes easy to match with virtually any look. Women’s shoes by Puma are equally popular – and available in an extensive variety of styles to suit most tastes. From the smart-but-sporty looking Aiki Cat, French 77 and Barnett Patent trainers to the more unique Tia Metallic ballerina pumps and Speed Cat Big L trainers to the Tenos IV and Magnetist running shoes, the choice is plentiful.
Finding Puma shoes online is easy – as the shoes are incredibly popular, most online footwear merchants carry at least a selection of the Puma collection. Watch for shipping discounts to maximise your savings, and always buy from merchants with a flexible return/exchange policy to avoid disappointment.© Designer Shoes.org.uk 2007.
